I know I have not written too much about my personal life here on the website and more about cooking and eating. Although this is the main thing I wanted to do realized that some readers may be like to know a little more about what is going on in my life at this moment.
I have to be honest and tell you first that my life has changed drastically this year. The Covid had a huge impact on my life and the life of my family.
As you have maybe read I am from Boston and have lived here my whole life. I am married and have two children. A son and a daughter. We also have 2 cats.
We would love to have a dog sooner or later but our children are too young and our life is too busy at this time.
Our cats keep us busy and also give us a lot to laugh about since they are both very playful.
At first, we had some problems trying to train them a little bit. As you maybe know if you have a cat yourself it is hard to teach a cat anything he or she does not like to do. I sometimes say that stubborn is their middle name.
The first thing we had to do was find some cat beds for them to sleep in because I don’t like them to sleep on my bed. If it was up to my children they would sleep in their rooms but I had to put my foot down to stop them from doing that.
Finding cat beds was a guest, but after finding a good website with good advice, and you click here to see it, we had just the problem to make them sleep in their beds.
That was by itself a challenge and took us some time. If you are new to cats I can share our experience with you how we made our cats sleep and nap in their own cat beds.
We found out that picking them up and putting them in the cat bed does not work. They just jump out as fast as you put them in there. Or maybe even faster.
We placed the cat beds in the place where we thought they worked the best and let them slowly get used to them. Cats are curious and love to get into things.
The cat beds were sniffled upon and slowly one of them decided to have a look inside the thing. This took about a day and I was almost ready to give up on the idea of the cat beds.
What I did, and maybe helped, was put a cloth in the new cat bed that had the sent of the cat on it already.
After the first cat stayed in his bed and laid down to find his toy that I hid in the corner the second one slowly walked up to her bed as if she did us a favor. What do you mean cats are arrogant?
The end result is now that after a week both cats are happy with their cat beds and treat them as their personal space and do not like us to interfere with them while they are sleeping or napping.
Now you know a little more about my personal life and the next time I will write some more about what is going on in our household and how we deal with staying home more than we like to.
